Chicago Bred
Although originally hailing from Chicago, the home of House Music, Tryknotic now resides in Texas where he has only begun to make his mark. His passion for the art of DJing first came about when he began listening to the "B96 Street Mix" in Chicago around the mid 90's. At that time the show featured artists such as Bad Boy Bill, Bobby D, Too Kool Chris and DJ Marski. Captivated by what he heard, he vowed to one day emulate those DJs.
Since 1999, Tryknotic practiced and honed his skills persistently. His passion and perseverance proved to be worthwhile, as he landed his first nightclub residency, less than six months later, at what used to be the largest nightclub west of the Mississippi. At the same time, he spun next to some of Chicago's finest including Mixin Marc and House Moguls Bill Basil (AKA Billy the Kid).
Originally, he went by the name, DJ Flash. He earned the name because early on he would do a form of speed mixing that allowed him to quickly and seamlessly move from song to song while always catching the better part of the music. Hence, the name flash because of the pace this speed mixing set on the dancefloor. Since those early days he has played a variety of styles in numerous nightclubs across the country, has been featured on radio mix shows , and continues to be a crowd pleaser to this day.
Styles include (but are not limited to):
EDM
Progressive
Electro
Trap
Dubstep
When not spinning in the club he has been working on producing his own music, which is quickly gaining buzz.
